Jennifer Heaton LCPC (MD LC9426), NCC, ACS is a graduate of the University of Arizona and Johns Hopkins University. Since beginning her career, Jennifer has worked in a variety of different settings including inpatient psychiatric care, emergency room crisis counseling and public mental health and substance abuse treatment. In 2017, Jennifer opened the doors of Dayspring Counseling where she has been able to bring her skills and experience to private practice. Jennifer works with children, adolescents and adults as well as couples and families. Her specialties include Anxiety, Depression, Panic Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Additionally, Jennifer focuses on areas of relationship trauma and domestic abuse.

Stuart Weinstein has been in working in the field of therapy since 2010 and is currently seeking licensure. Stuart's degrees consist of a master's degree In Addiction Counseling and Post Graduate degree in Trauma therapy. In addition to working with Couples, adults, young adults, families, children, Stuart is very passionate about working with those struggling with Substance abuse/Addictions, Marital discord, depression, anxiety, and obsessionality.
     Stuart has been formally trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Multi-systemic therapy (MST) and evidence-based treatment approaches to list a few. Moreover, he has worked professionally at Sobriety Solutions, Merakey Behavioral health, Roxborough Behavioral Health, the D. A's office in the Victim Witness Coordinators Office, Home Quest and Vision Quest, Carson Valley's Childrens Aid and in several hospitals throughout his career. 

 Hazel is our beloved 4 year old miniature golden doodle and is often an integral part of therapy sessions at Dayspring Counseling. Besides being fluffy, cuddly and all around adorable, Hazel has also completed the necessary trainings to become a Certified Psychiatric Service Animal. While she is never one to turn down a good belly rub or tasty bone, Hazel has been formally trained to use such interventions as tactile stimulation, Deep Pressure Therapy, Pressure and Warmth Stimulation and Grounding. All of these techniques can offer a therapeutic distraction from anxiety, depression or a pending panic attacks. Hazel also aides with emotional regulation, brings calm to a situation and simply offers warmth should you so desire this.
